Dahlia Delight
Dahlia Daze
In late summer 2018 the gang visited the Swan Island Dahlia farm located about 30 minutes south of Portland. We enjoyed an early evening frolic through the manicured rows as the sun set and cast a golden glow upon the dahlia delights right before our eyes. Arnold and Fiona the Unicorns made a game of moving from flower to flower using their magical unicorn glitter. We all had quite a fun time and we had the entire field to ourselves! We even saw Mount Hood, if you stood in juuuuust the right spot. We’ve included some photos of our fun evening so that you can see just what a delight our visit was!
Visiting the Farm During Covid
Due to Covid, this year (2020) there will not be a Dahlia Festival which is a marvelous two weekend event with vendors, floral demonstrations, music and local cuisine. Despite this, however, the field is open. Bring a mask as one is required if you cannot maintain social distance.
