You’ve seen our beloved unicorn Fiona. You’ve heard how we got her and seen some of the places she’s been. But now is the story you’ve been anxiously waiting for – the very first legit hike that Fiona joined us on – our Pup Creek Falls hike on Aug 19, 2018. This hike was everything you could ever desire in a hike and more!
In late summer 2018 the gang visited the Swan Island Dahlia farm located about 30 minutes south of Portland. We enjoyed an early evening frolic through the manicured rows as the sun set and cast a golden glow upon the dahlia delights right before our eyes.
We recently had our 24-month dating anniversary (July 2020). This year we didn’t go on an adventure due to Covid19 safety concerns. Last year we had such a fun time at Seaside, OR (July 2019) celebrating 12 months of dating that we thought we’d share some more pictures and stories of the fun!
While our weekend getaway came to an end our fun times have not ended. There is no conclusion. Our journey continues 😊.
Snippets from our one year dating anniversary weekend in Seaside. Adam brings laughter, joy, comfort & support to my everyday. It was a treat to celebrate on such a weather perfect weekend! This was Adam’s first time to Seaside, and the northern Oregon coast in general. It was also Fiona & Arnold the Unicorns’ first trip too.
While Arnold the Unicorn and Adam were enjoying a few solo days in New York last Spring, Fiona the Unicorn and Amanda took a jaunt to the countryside one Spring day with a couple of Amanda’s photo friends.
Amanda worked her photography magic. She knows what’s up when it comes to snatching beautiful pictures. She captured wonderful glimpses of the sun peeking from behind tulip petals & the unicorns dancing and playing near several puddles. Those reflections were ridiculous! Also, the unicorns couldn’t help but get rowdy on one of the ‘large’ tractors. They had SO MUCH FUN!!! It was ridiculous!
The kind sweet unicorn we found was lost, scared and alone in a toy department. She desperately needed a home. We realized this would be a major commitment because unicorns become fussy if they don’t get their exercise. She needed to get out and explore on the regular. And when we looked into her face, we knew she was something we needed in our lives too. After we rescued her, we named her Fiona!
