In Spring of last year Adam asked Amanda if she’d go to prom with him... but not just any prom... he wanted to time travel and take her to an 80’s prom at McMenamins Kennedy School with music provided by a local 80’s cover band, Radical Revolution.

Let’s back up...say 20’s years...wait make that 22 years. Anyhow, Amanda had never actually ever been asked to prom during her high school years, so Adam had provided her with an opportunity to partake in the fun, minus all the weird high school cliquey nonsense. Of course he didn’t pick the correct decade..but the 80’s are more fun anyway.
So, Amanda spent a considerable amount of time searching for all of the perfect 80’s accessories online….and meanwhile Adam just pulled stuff straight outta his closet…
The day of Prom was lovely. Arnold and Fiona the Unicorns went off to the unicorn sitters for the evening. It was a Friday night and quite warm. On the way to the prom, Amanda and Adam took in the blooming flowers, and even stopped for a photo taken by another reminiscing prom couple.
Once inside, it was all the best of the 80’s and dancing, dancing, dancing. They even had a photographer (with props!) to take your prom photo! Not wanting Amanda to miss out on the entire “prom” experience, Adam insisted they have their photos taken. Oh, boy are they priceless.
All-in-all it was a fun evening, and remarkably neither Adam nor Amanda got their white shoes dirty...must have been the result of pure unicorn magic!
