Our First Meet-Up

How it all Began

We first met in July 2018 somewhere in downtown Portland, OR. We met for lunch. It was delicious. However, we weren’t just two random strangers without a thing in common. Ooh noooo. We had established one very important fact. We both liked to hike. And we both liked – no… LOVED – unicorns! Adam’s dating profile mentioned liking to hike & liking silly imaginary creatures like unicorns and baby kittens. Amanda opened the conversation with, “Did you know that unicorns live in Forest Park?” Both of us knew our futures were about to change in a significant way. At our first meeting we ate a salad and a sandwich. We talked about our lives and we connected about so many similar interests. Like reading. And hiking. And adventures.
