GOODBYE

In April 2019 Adam went to New York for a few weeks for work. Since we both live in Portland, OR he was on the other side of the country. This was our first time not meeting up twice a week since we started dating. But, we found ways to stay connected, and Adam was able to take some amazing photos!

MANHATTAN

Adam had three days free to spend in Manhattan. There are SO MANY things to see & do!!! He went to: Times Square (Broadway & Shopping), 5th Avenue (designer clothing stores), Central Park (just starting to bloom), Rockefeller Center (iconic building), The Met (world famous Museum of Art), & Columbus Circle (a fancy shopping mall with several designer stores near Central Park).

TED BAKER

While shopping Adam spent a few pretty pennies on clothes and gifts. One of the memorable spots was Ted Baker on 5th Ave. They are one of Adam’s favorite designer stores & Adam picked up several great finds. Ted Baker also had a location at Columbus Circle near Central Park. Among the finds, Adam picked up a pink pair of shoes with a floral print on them as a gift for Amanda. After returning to Portland we snapped a fun picture with our new shoes surrounded in falled flowers from a blooming tree near Adam’s home.

UNICORN STUFF

The most amazing gift shop in New York is P!Q. Adam visited the location called P!QToo located at the shops at the Rockefeller Center Concourse. They had some amazing UNICORN stuff!!!!!!! They have cute and adorable items that you just can’t live without. Fact. Since we celebrate our dating anniversary every month Adam is still giving gifts from there a year later.

STAYING CONNECTED

While Adam was in New York we used the app Rabbit to buddy-watch movies at the same time. It was a way to know that while it might be pitch black above Adam while the sun was not yet set above Amanda we were still united and sharing in each other’s thoughts.

TO BE CONTINUED

Stay tuned for more on this journey. There’s so much that happened in New York. Next week we’ll take an adventure to Central Park.
