Fiona - The Delight of Our Hearts
It was love at first unicorn
We love to chase trails and waterfalls. Trust us! We have been on a myriad of hikes and adventures. We’ve landed such good memories that some might say they were... memorable! But why go alone? Hiking is always better when you bring unicorns. Some people have rescued / adopted pets from animal shelters. We each had pondered looking into several shelters trying to find a unicorn. But they vanish much faster than you could ever imagine! We were able to find the most adorable little unicorn early on when we’d just started dating.
This day’s magical adventure was the TOP SECRET master plan of Amanda.
The kind sweet unicorn we found was lost, scared and alone in a toy department. She desperately needed a home. We realized this would be a major commitment because unicorns become fussy if they don’t get their exercise. She needed to get out and explore on the regular. And when we looked into her face, we knew she was something we needed in our lives too. After we rescued her, we named her Fiona! After that daring move – it’s not easy convincing a unicorn to get in your car for the first time) – Amanda and I continued our date and grabbed some tasty food at one of the locally owned restaurants: McMenamins. It was yummy! Fiona was delighted too. Amanda’s date plans turned out to be an epic, memorable day!
